Winter Competition Week 5

It's close at the top in Division 1 with 4 teams on 3 wins from 5.

Peter Kennedy had a good week with a win over Alan Bruhn 11-7, 11-6, 11-7, just to rub it in, but Patrick Keating got revenge to give Pelican Waters the win for the night.

Seng Joo Keng and Mike Wilson both had 3 wins for Twin Waters with Danny Yueng also beating Ian Oakley. Mike came from behind on all 3 matches, two of which were from 2 down to win 3-2, as we know Mike likes to make life difficult for himself.

In Division 2, Palmwoods used a strong substitute in Johnny Hall to record their first win for the season over Dulong. Jenny Wyatt took Johnny to 5 and also Alex Glasson but lost in the 5th.

Bobby Amiri-Konrood had a scare from Paul Framm winning in 5, and used the momentum to defeat Denis Orr in 3. Liam Reeve and Paul Framm had a battle with Liam winning 11-9 in the 5th. Denis recovered from the shock to beat Judy Chin however, taking the rubber to the last game and giving the team win to Mooloolaba in the last match.
