Winter Competition Week 7

June 3, 2014

We are half way though the season now, with 7 rubbers played. The second half will be a repeat of the first half, although the doubles pairings will differ, as a result of the formats of doubles rotating  every 3 weeks.

Division 1 saw Gerit Fialla, Martin Tribe and Paul Green finish with 3 wins.

Seng Joo Keng played Martin in the last match, going down 11-8 in the 5th.

Danny Yeung had a grudge match against Jimmy Yang and took honours for the first time in 3 games.

Division 2 has Nambour at the top with 7 from 7, then there are four teams on 4 wins, so very much open for the second half.

David Eckerman had 3 wins, as did Colin Rule, Hussein Amiri-Konrood and Steve Rowson.

Steve had a scare against an in for Jayde Treloar, just scraping in the win 12-10 in the 5th, and 11-7 also in the 5th against Steve Hall. Jayde had good wins against Jenny Wyatt and John Dale only losing the one match.
