Winter Competition Week 11

July 2, 2014

With 3 weeks to go before the finals, there are 5 teams in contention in both Division 1 and Division 2.

A late run for Jerrod Thomsons' Marooychdore with a win over Pelican Waters does not push Pelican Waters from top position. Jerrods 3 wins was his first for the season. Patrick Keating had an unusual night with all three singles matches going down in 5 games, but they still remain the top title prospect.

Danny Yeung and Michael Wilson were helped over the line by Martin Tribe. Danny pushed Luke Thomson to 5 games.

In Division , Nambour are missing star player Desley Payne, as they dropped the second rubber in as many weeks, but still remain top of the leader board. Alex Malancoiu had 3 good wins each in 3 games. Jenny Wyatt had a close call with the youngsters,  Harry Kythgo, with 3 games 14-12, 14-12, 15-13, and also won in 4 against Shane Showalter finishing 11-9 in the last 3 games.
