Some interesting new players and very capable returning players make for hot Spring Season 2016

Murray McKinnon and Luke Thomson are returning to the Sunshine Coast Club this season. Being the highest ranked players currently in the club, there should be some entertaining games as other players try to take their mantle. One player with a chance of doing this is current Sunshine Coast Closed Champion, Seng Joo Keng, who topped the rankings in the Winter Season. Another is Alan Bruhn who is riding a tide of top form after clenching the premiership last season. And another is Luke's dad, Jerrod Thompson, who, no doubt, would like to show his son that he is still the boss at least for another season or two.

A multitude of new and returning players (14 in total) in Division 2 showed plenty of potential in the first round played last Tuesday. I can see a few of these players making their way to Division 1 in the not too distant future. One new player to capture my attention was Matt Old who already appears to have the right ingredients.

Please note that the RESULTS TABLES for Division 1 & 2 will be up in a day or two.
