5 Sunshine Coast players representing Qld at Australian Veteran Champs in Perth

Our Sunshine Coast Club has no less than 5 players travelling the huge distance to represent Queensland in the Australian Veteran Championships to be held at the Mandurah, Western Australia from the 7th October to the 14th October 2017.

They are :-

Patrick Keating who is captain of the Over 30 Mens B Team

Jerrod Thompson who is captain of the Over 30 Mens B Team

Judy Chin who is in the Over 60 Womens Team

Alan Bruhn who is in the Over 70 Mens A Team

Ken Hay who is captain of the Over 75 Mens A Team

In addition we have a number of ex players who are in teams:-

Peng Yu is in the Over 50 Mens B Team and his wife, Jan Yu, is in the Over 50 Womens A Team.

Steve Mitchell is in the Mens Over 50 Mens A Team and his wife, Bernadette Mitchell, joins Jan in the Over 50 Womens A Team. They now play in Toowoomba.

Bernadette played a number of years in the Sunshine Coast Club winning the Open Womens Title in 2009 as Bernadette Caldwell beating some accomplished players including at least one of the Campbell-Innes girls.
