Very Important Info for all fixture players
The finals are very close and I have updated the results. Please note that there are now 2 columns for rankings. The "PLAYED" column takes into account weeks missed in creating percentages whereas the "OVERALL" column does not take into account the weeks missed. There are arguments for both methods so we have put both in.
Also in his latest email update (No 43) Colin has put some very important info re dates etc for finals. Please read the UPDATE carefully. I have added below the parts which relate to fixtures:-
"Winter Competition It's been a mess, but we are getting to the end now. The repechage singles and crossover doubles has been a bit of a disaster so we won't be doing this again, at least not as part of the season. Div 2 for next week will be practice and social only, as I dont have the brain power to arrange a handicap event at short notice. If anyone wants to consider formatting some structured event for this night I am happy to assist. The remaining weeks:
26/07/2022 Winter week 14 2/08/2022 Semi Finals 9/08/2022 Finals
We missed 28th June due to school closure. The matches played in Div 1 and 3 were played to align with the fixture sheet, so the fixtures planned for 28th June will be tacked on to the end. Div 1 : Next week 26/7 will play the matches previously scheduled for 28/6, which completes all rounds.
The semi-finals will be 1v4 and 2v3 on 2/8 as per the revised calendar. The finals will be the winners of the semis on 9/8 as per the revised calendar. If Div 1 players in the finals prefer, the finals can follow the semis on the same night. Let's schedule a chat next week to conclude.
