Commonwealth Games Qualifying Tournament

William Almasi is privileged to have been invited to umpire at the Commonwealth Games Qualifying Tournament to be held at the Gold Coast Table Tennis Club (Queensland’s premier table tennis facility).

Twelve of Australia’s top male and female players will be competing for spots in the Australian Team to compete in Glasgow, Scotland later this year. Eligible players are members of the 2014 National High Performance Squad.

The first 6 places in the main draw are allocated to the 6 highest National Male & Female Senior Rankings. The last 2 places in the draw will be determined on the basis of a knockout tournament.

Qualification knock out rounds start on Friday 21st February at 3 pm (practice starts at 1 pm).Round Robin rounds start at 10 am on both Saturday and Sunday 22nd and 23rd February. The best placed three male and female players will qualify for the Australian Commonwealth Games Team.

This is a rare opportunity to See Australia’s Best.
