SEASON STILL WIDE OPEN WITH JUST ONE ROUND TO PLAY

Both division 1 and division 2 are wide open with just one round to play next week.

In Division 1, Lamborghinis (Luke Thomson, Steve Keating), McLarens (Adam Wood, Jimmy Yang) and Bugattis (Charlie Murong, Ken Hay) are assured a place in semis but the 4th spot will be a show down between Ferraris (Alan Bruhn, Danny Yeung) , Jaguars (Jerrod Thomson, Peter Kennedy) and Porsches (Seng Joo Keng, Jayde Treloar). The semis (1v4, 2v3) will be played after the last round next week (November 29). The final will be played on the following week, December 6.

In Division 2, Mackerals (Matt Old, Jim Kyle and Gary Kiorgaard) can not be beaten for the minor premiership. Their opponents in the final on December 6 will be either Bream (Dan Ettel, Desley Payne and Peter Deacon) or Blue Whales (Gordon Falkingham, Tony Fulton and Heather Dunlevie) depending on results next week.

The all-girls team, Marlins (Judy Chin, Linda Yapp and Jenny Wyatt) were looking pretty good until this week when a narrow 5-6 loss to Blue Whales cruelled their final hopes. With a bye next week, their season is over.

Don’t forget that our breakup is on December 9 at the Duporth Hotel in Maroochydore. No practice this Thursday at Maroochydore SHS Hall but there is practice on Thursday at Maleny SHS Hall starting at 6pm. It’s a great venue and the local tribe is friendly and can even play table tennis.
