ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN IN FINALS

Finals for the current Summer Season are just around the corner. In Division 2, the road to the premiership is as below:-

Sharks were the minor premiers but in the last round they were beaten by the Seals who were the cellar dwellers at that stage. Indeed you only have to go back to the previous season where in Div 2, the final was fought between 3rd and 4th placed teams. While in Div 1 last season, minor premiers, Pendanuses, who dominated the whole season were beaten by 3rd placed, Eucalypts.

In Division 1, there are no semi-finals this season, just a cut throat grand final between the 1st two placed teams. With 3 rounds of the season left, Boodies (Mark Bradshaw + Mike Wilson) can’t be displaced as minor premiers. The second spot in the grand final must go to either the Potoroos (Adam Wood + Gerritt Fialla) or the Kangaroos (Paul Green + Patrick Keating).

I’ve got no idea of who will win either division, but I am pretty sure there will be a few upsets and twists and turns (as per road above) as that is the nature of table tennis.
